Artist Statement:
I primarily work with drawing, painting, and textiles. My art explores the way I perceive the world through my body, particularly as I navigate mental health challenges such as anxiety, worry, and overthinking. My work is a personal confession expressed through images. I draw quickly as if purging my thoughts and emotions. And then I stitch over the sketch I have drawn. I hope my work reaches the viewer like a visual poem. My drawings emerge from automatic drawings and writings where spontaneous lines and words intertwine to bring my inner world to life.
